Twenty five years ago my parents made the decision to bring our
family to Alaska. It all started with a vacation, and turned into
a life style of many exciting and wonderful experiences! I have
been able to pursue my passions of fishing, hunting and hiking.
At age fourteen I was commercial fishing all over the state and
also working in the family construction business. After having
my own contracting business I transitioned into the real estate
profession and have really found my niche. I can earn my living
doing what I love - hiking and traveling around the state helping
my neighbors with their real property needs while introducing new-comers
to the most naturally beautiful place in the world - Alaska.
My background in construction and personal knowledge of the vast
state of Alaska have been valuable in my success in the field of
real estate.

After more than a dozen annual trips to visit family and friends,
and having made the fateful decision on one of those trips to extend
what was meant to be a 3-week visit to a 2-month stay, I moved
from Brussels, Belgium to Homer, Alaska in June 2004. As an avid
hiker, biker, skier and sailor with a passion for wild and remote
places, I find Homer and its environs a unique and ideal location
in which to be based. While known as the "End of the Road",
I like to think of our spectacularly natural and beautiful area
as the beginning of the journey.
If you are looking for a small, coastal community full of friendly
souls and intriguing characters, a high quality/low-key lifestyle,
endless opportunities for spending time outdoors and partaking
in world-class sporting adventures all in a vast wilderness setting
with stunning landscape out your back door (not to mention the
opportunity to live in one of the nation's top 100 Art Towns),
this is the place!
Whether for a full-time residence, second home, retirement home,
dream piece of land, large acreage or remote cabin retreat, I'd
love to help you find your spot - one that makes your heart jump.
Specialized in vacant land & remote parcels, residential properties
and green building pocket neighborhoods (new construction), my
mission is to serve my clients with top notch service every step
of the way. From researching properties, thoroughly hiking the
land, negotiating on your behalf and meticulously following up
and facilitating all transaction details to providing no-nonsense
information and advice, I place a very high value on the development
of a friendly and professional working relationship, one that continues
long after the transaction closes.
Parlez-vous francais? Sprechen sie deutsch? I can help you! I lived
in Europe for 14 years, have traveled extensively in foreign lands
and enjoy tremendously interacting with people from different cultures.
Amongst other organizations, I am a Board Member of the Center
for Alaskan Coastal Studies, Member of the Kachemak Heritage Land
Trust, Kachemak Bay Conservation Society, Bunnell Street Gallery,
KBBI Public Radio Station, Pier One Theatre, and the Nature Conservancy.
I am currently working on a specialized Realtor designation to
become one of our area's first Eco-Brokers.
I welcome the chance to meet and work with you. |

As a life-long Alaskan, Michele Holley of Coastal Realty, is able
to share her experience with Alaskan Real Estate enthusiasts across
the Great State.
Her father moved to the territory in 1928, and immediately became
involved in many business ventures while taking advantage of the
incredible hunting and fishing available. Michele shadowed him
throughout the late 50s into the early 70s, meeting a myriad of
prominent Alaskan pioneers all sharing an interest in prospecting
available Real Estate opportunities. Often these meetings took
place over a campfire in the wilderness, on an adventurous hunting
or fishing trip, or on the endless scouting trips to properties
of interest.
Many aspects of Alaskan business, primarily real estate acquisition
and sales, were the topics of discussion from as early as she could
remember. From location, surveying, appraisal, subdivisions, both
residential and commercial, construction, financing, processing
documents through legal channels and completed sales,
Michele's life has been saturated in Alaskan Real Estate. Her experience
with wilderness adventures led Michele to own several tourist-orientated
business throughout the years. From dog mushing in the 1970s to
the largest guide service on the Kenai River in the early 1990s,
Michele has kept the promise to herself to explore as much of Alaska
as is possible in a lifetime.
As a licensed Coast Guard Captain, Michele has wandered not only
Alaskan inland rivers but the entire coast line from Mexico to
Dutch Harbor, Alaska giving her experience, confidence, and knowledge
of remote locations and ability to provide logistics required for
ultimate results.
Michele looks forward to serving her clients, friends and referrals
to find their own piece of Alaskan Real Estate. Safe travels and
